[Closed] Looking for MaxScripts
If you know of any cool maxScript that everybody should use tell us. It is a lot of script around now, and it is hard to find those you need…

I don’t think there’s such a thing as a script “that everybody should use.” When you find that you want to do something that isn’t built-in to Max, you check around to see if there’s a script for it (or you write one yourself)! I suppose there are a few scripts that are ubiquitous enough to be widely recommended, though, like Meshtools, csPolyTools, Skintools, or TreeMatoGraph (or CleanCut:p toot! toot!*). I recommend just poking around scriptspot.com or any of the sites I posted in that other thread, and deciding for yourself which are the most useful scripts.

Anytime I see an interesting script, I save it to a local maxscript/plugin repository on the hard drive. Most of them I don’t use. Until I run into a problem or limitation or workflow issue… then I take a look, see what’s in there, run/install what I need.
Might help you, although the collection method takes awhile to amass…
I do exactly what posm does, and it works pretty well. Usually I try to check scriptspot.com and Maxplugins.de every week or so to see if there is anything new that I did’nt know I needed.
I personally would highly recommend Meshtools, CSpolytools, Polymagus, and Advanced Painter. Could’nt live without ’em…well…I could, but life just would’nt be worth living…hehe.
