[Closed] How to change background color of buttons?

I would like to be able to change the background color of buttons. This way I could use them in a similar way as checkboxes. I have seen this in LayerManager3, so I know it’s possible to do.

Is there anyone that knows the trick?

Perheaps you should use checkbutton? I think this is what you need.

Edit:Yes, you are right. I’m looking for the checkbutton, I misread your post first and thought you just meant a checkbox.
It looks very useful.
