[Closed] Help:Import Max 6 file In Ver 5

Sorry about doubling up on this post but I really need to get renders of my new work:

I just got Laid off and I have an interview in a couple days…All my work files were made in Max 6 but I only have ver 5 here at home…Does any one have a script that can help me open my new files in my old version. Ive looked around and all I can find is a script called “Bobo’s File Format Back From Five”…is there an updated version of this?..I havent been able to find any thing

Any help is greatly appreicated
Thanks Doug

Hey Falfa thanks for the help…but “bobo File Format Back From Five” only “exports” files from a higher version down to a lower version(its great for preserving things that .3ds doesnt)…I guess I wasnt clear enough…If I knew I was being layed off I would have saved my files with this script on ver 6…I was hoping that there was something that would just let me “import” a file from a higher version with out having to export it first in this “back from five” scriopt…anyways…I have a feeling I wont be able to load these files until I find a copy of Max 6…thanks for the response

Yes, you need both versions to transfer the files.
No, it does not move files from higher to lower, you can export from any version and import in any other version, no matter what direction you are going. But since Max 7 can still open Max 1 files, this is usually not necessary.
Unfortunately, there is no way to import Max 6 files in lower versions without having both versions installed. The script was made for studios modeling in newer versions of Max but exporting from older ones, for example for game development where the pipleine has been built around an older version of Max…

Please disregard my post in the other thread…

why dont u just download the max 6 trial.
