[Closed] Going nut!
Martin, this is awesome!!! Thank you for sharing, this is exactly what I was looking for, man I cant thank you enough for sharing this, there’s alot of hard work into this!
This actually does more that what I was thinking regarding the code part, but the design part, it’s a little bit different of what I was expecting, but it’s close! I havent checked all the code yet, but just from running the script I can see that when we enter the design mode, you actually run the form as an MDI or something, and the way I was thinking of, was creating a designersurface, which alows you to move controls, add controls, edit its properties, etc.
I know that we can do that with your script, but I would like to see a toolbox instead of a combobox with all the controls and the ability to organize the controls, but this is a great startup! Actually I think this can be done with minor hacks/roundabouts and skipping the designersurface thing, although as I’ve said before, that would be the “right” way to do it.
Once again, THANKS! And if I have time to do something on this, I’ll keep you updated. Big cheers!

yes, it was my goal too , I think at this time I wanted to put some layer on top of it and use getchildatpoint to move the controls but I abandoned this project and just just keep the controls editing part wich I later transformed into .net properties inspector …can’t seam to find the thread back through
but you’re right , if I were to remake one today, I sure wouldn’t do it this way … but I sure would be using the great alsing controls as it have syntax highlight and most importantly …the foldall ability and that’s the main reason I choose this controls
Best regard,
Martin
edit : that’s .Net Property Inspector I was talking about that allow you to move controls around but sure typing in the value in is a bit of a hassle but I get use to it. I also have older version where I was syntax highlighting from maxscript … make me freak just to think about it
I really like dev tool, especially for maxscript, looking forward seeing some from you
