Is there a way to get the folder in which my .MS script file is stored?
I remember having used such a function once, but I cannot find anything about it now.

Look under “MAXScript Source Filename Access” in the Help. There are several functions for querying the path, the offset and line where they are being called from.
In addition, you can use showSource <fn>
to navigate to the file where a given function was defined in.
