[Closed] Checking if Instance or Reference

Does anyone know how to check to see if a node is an instance of another node, as opposed to a reference.

I know this question was asked before here http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=259661 , but an adequate answer hasn’t been posted yet, and I’m hitting the same problem with no luck.

InstanceMgr.GetInstances() seems to hold some promise, but it can’t differentiate between refs and instances.

Does anyone have any ideas?
