Hi! I’ve read that in hair and fur you can only get 15 vertices per guide, no more, no less. Does anyone know if there’s a way to change the guides vertices count via maxscript???

are you talking about ‘Hair Segments’? you can set the value to 1-150 segs.

No, I’m talking about the guides, not the hairs.

why do you need to change the number of knots used when the guide is being converted to spline? I don’t see that the Hair and Fur plugin exposes any method to set the number of knots.

This limitation is indeed imposed and cannot be overriden.
15 knots per guide hair is just way too little to simulate things like long hair.
Time to look for alternatives, the simulation itself also leaves a lot to be desired.
