You may have had 50+ views with no replies because you haven’t really given a good explanation of your problem.

My initial response that I thought of was: “You can’t run maxscript from a CMD”. But I’m sure this isn’t what you mean is it?

Cg.

I think what you, sixsteps, mean is you have a prerender maxscript that runs fine in GUI mode but not when used in CLI/CMD mode… right?

Having nearly the same problem. I have a prerender script that when used in GUI mode stops rendering and runs the “render” function of maxscript. When I use this script with commandline, it doesn’t stop rendering and renders – as it seems – without executing the maxscript.

I don’t know if you guys are aware that you can run maxscript files also from command line as described here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/3DSMax/files/GUID-BCB04DEC-7967-4091-B980-638CFDFE47EC-htm.html

Maybe that helps…
