I decided to have a look at the Max 2017 SDK.
As per the guide, I installed it, setup the environment variable, made the required folders writable, modified and copied over the 3 files under VS 2015. All this in Windows 7 SP1 x64.
I started up VS 2015 and using the guide I created a new project with the Max Plugin Wizard, asking it to create the folders in the same area my regular projects are.
I get the popup about “creating project …” and it stays there working away forever. No error messages but the project folder is never created.
At the same time the Wizard dialog comes up and if I give up waiting the “creating project …” one, fill in the dialog’s data and click ‘finish’, the first popup and the wizard dialog close and I’m back to the “New project” selection.
Still no folders have been created.
Any idea what might be missing?
