can i Format the string to out put text Files Using Bold And/or Italic Characters?
if i do
Format "% :
" i.name Bold:true italic:true to : out_File
Mxs Doesn't throw errors but completely ignores it
i just want the out put file to look like that ,so its easier to read

While we’re on the subject of formatting.
Is there also any way to change the color of text in a format, print or rollout?

if you’re outputting to a text file, you got no chance. txt is just text based and does not support formatting like that.

You could output in .rtf format. Doing so requires you to write an .rtf parser (not hard), and someone may have already done it for MXS; you might want to check that out.
