I just made a new script, and I want you to test it before publish. Please try the script, and write if you find any bug. The script is a timeline addon. You can change the active time segment without opening the time control dialog. Just drop the file into max viewport to install.
Zoom: dragging the sides of the slider, or use your mouse wheel. (CTRL+mousewheel = more zoom, SHIFT+mousewheel = less zoom)
Move the slider: Dragging it with mouse, or click somewhere on the tracbar background.
Double click to zoom out.
Please try the settings, and changing the skin.

WOW! this’s a great idea ask free forum for testing an encrypted script! i think many max script developers will be happy to help you with it!
Well, not a good idea, but the only idea I have. I don’t have any friend, who can test it. If you don’t want to help me, you won’t. But I hope 2-3 developers will help me, and that’s enough for me.
i hope no one developer will help you. but you can ask for testing and debugging your potential user. in this case you should open the thread in the main Autodesk 3ds max discussion forum.

I tried the script and it works fine on both max2011 x64 and max2012 x64.
But DeniT is right. It’s ridiculous to ask people to test encrypted script on this or any other free forum.
Anyway, idea for the script is Ok

i really don’t want to have this thread removed. it’s a cause of discussion… here is my point:
it must a reason for me to install any encrypted script on my machine
it must be some level of trust to install any script
if a script encrypted it might be potentially commercial. can i test anyone’s commercial product for free?
and of course the question… is the forum about the mxs development the right place to post any link to an encrypted script?

It is a free script. Just encrypted, but not commercial.

That’s why I asked to remove this thread.
if the script is not commercial why is it encrypted? the fact that MAX allows to encrypt scripts is a big mistake. we have the situation now where every second script on the ScriptSpot is encrypted.
i’m very kind person… i love max scripting… and i’m always ready to help everyone to make his code cleaner and better. why to hide the code? help others and others will help you.
in MXS i’m probably a donor. but for example in C# or Python i’m definitely more a receiver. and can’t be productive in my development without using free resources.
Scripts are made for users, to make their work easier, and not for developers. Users don’t need the source code, they just use the script.
My question is why a developer need the source code? They are developers. They know all the maxscript commands, and know everything about maxscript. So they can write scripts using their own code, so developers doesn’t need to read other scripts’ source code. But if you want to ask me something about the script, i will tell you how I did it. But I think you don’t need it, because you are pro in maxscript. So I really don’t understand why you need the source code of my script.
easy answer… i want to have the max scripting transparent. the same as maya scripting. i want to have the max scripting 100% trustful.
i can post a max script that’s being loaded in max startup will send every *.ms or *.mcr file from your computer to my server imitatively as it will be created or changed.
