[Closed] Autodesk University: Worth it?

Greetings

Have any of you folks been to the Autodesk University trade show/conferences? Was it worthwhile?

I’m quite interested in the various 3ds Max courses on offer (such as Paul’s), as well as in making professional contacts, discuss what we are doing with the software, and how we can do it better. The problem is, my employer is assuming that Autodesk U is basically an Autodesk sales junket, and there will be little to be gained by attending in terms of education, or making worthwhile, ongoing, professional contacts.

Any thoughts?
