[Closed] 'Make Reference' via Script?

I meant “MakeReference” command in right-click menu in modifier stack.

OK…this is what I;m trying to do.

I have a source object that has a stack like his.

PointCache
Material
EditPoly
EditableMesh

I want to make a bunch of reference copy like this.

Material

EditPoly
EditableMesh

Basically I need to have control over top two modifiers while instancing all the stack below.

Any input would be great.

there is a well known trick.
you have node A and B. make a copy of A for example. let’s call it C.
make A and B references of C. and delete C.
